Tips
- Word Stress, sentence stress and liaison are important in English Speaking
- Test your microphone at the beginning of the test
- Keep it above the mouth just make sure it hear the sound no air and sound
- There may be some noise from other test-takers around you.
- Time does not carry over in speaking test do not rush your answer
- Not all questions are easy or difficult - don’t panic
- Read Aloud is an important test item if you need to improve your reading score, as it contributes to your reading grade.
- While content is important it is less important than pronunciation and fluency. So practice pronunciation and fluency 2/3rd of the score. Content has lower maximum score for some.
- Embrace your own way of speaking - Speak in a way that is natural for you. If make mistake don't restart - native speakers also hesitates.
- Observe punctuations; full stop comas and semi colon are important indicator in speaking.
- Fluency and speed are not the same thing. Aim for fluency, not speed.
